Wow, speechless...
This week we saw temperatures in the 70's and then around 3" of snow to potential rainstorms in the forecast for the next two days. The snapshot above I thought was very true as we may have experienced all four seasons in one week which I can't recall a 7 day span like this in a very long time.
The good news was that we were able to open the course last week and allow carts two days after opening. It was great to see the course is holding up well this Spring. Time will tell after we have the snow melt and rain on Thursday.
Now you are all wondering, what the Greens and Grounds Team has been working on... Here are a few bullet points for April so far...
- Golf Simulator Take Down
- Addition of Course Accessories
- Pumpstation and Irrigation Pressurization
- Sump Pump Installation, Fountain Installation, Air Diffusers, and Well Controls
- Irrigation Review and Repairs (watch out for Blue Flags)
- Tree Stump Cleanup (~70 trees)
- Divot Filling (tees and fairways)
- Rake and Pickup Sticks/Debris (winter's natural pruning)
- Continuous Bunker Raking (Thanks Wild Turkeys!)
- #12 Bathroom Repairs and Prepping for Painting
- Mulching Planting and Landscaping Beds
- Turf Plugging of Main Playing Areas
- Facility Organization and Cleaning
